The Delhi High Court Friday said it expects that the AAP government will put things in order and comply with a judicial order asking authorities to take action and regulate online pathological labs, otherwise contempt action would be initiated. The high court, which was hearing a plea alleging non-compliance of its order in this regard, also sought to know from the AAP government whether its pathological laboratories and hospitals are NABL accredited. The plea alleged non-compliance of the high court's August 6, 2020 order to take action against illegal online health service aggregators operating in Delhi and to regulate online pathological labs. 321 new Covid-19 cases in Delhi, positivity rate 0.60 per cent
Delhi recorded 321 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, the second consecutive day in March on which the daily count crossed the 300-mark, while the positivity rate rose to 0.60 per cent amid a sudden surge in incidences, as per data shared by the health department . On Friday, three new fatalities and 312 fresh cases were registered, the highest count in nearly one-and-a-half months. It was also a significant jump from 261 cases registered on Thursday. On Saturday, one more fatality was recorded, taking the death toll to 10,919, according to the latest health bulletin. A total of 585 cases were reported on January 1 and 384 on January 4. It had dropped to 306 on January 11 and risen again to 386 on January 12, according to official figures. The numbers had started to come down the next month and on February 26, 256 new cases were recorded, the highest daily count in February. Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System ( RRTS ) project have been resolved, TOI has learnt. At a recent meeting with UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation ( NCRTC ) had raised the issue of requirement of 22,225 sqm land at three places along the RRTS route, saying that any further delay will have a bearing on the priority section from Sahibabad to Duhai for which March 2023 deadline has been set. According to officials, the process for transferring the land parcels belonging to the state irrigation department and Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) have now been initiated. “NCRTC requires 4,000 sqm land in Arthala for setting up its power station and an additional 12,200 sqm for dumping construction and development waste. Housing, commercial complexes part of pilot old Delhi redevelopment project
NEW DELHI : North Delhi Municipal Corporation has planned to create a model residential tower and a commercial complex as a pilot project to carry out redevelopment of old Delhi areas. Two sites were selected and a special area redevelopment plan was submitted to the Delhi government’s urban development department on Tuesday, a senior official said. “The commercial complex will come up at Peeli Kothi near Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg, while the residential tower has been proposed at a site behind Town Hall near Dangal Maidan,” the official added. Man Causes Panic at Delhi Airport by Declaring Himself Covid Positive Minutes Before Take-off
A man who boarded an IndiGo flight to Maharashtra's Pune city at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport caused panic minutes before take off after declaring he was COVID positive, an airport official said on Saturday. Speaking to Sputnik, the airport official – requesting anonymity – said that the incident took place on Thursday evening. The plane was temporarily grounded as a result. "The passenger was on board in flight 6E 286 of IndiGo that was scheduled to take off for Pune from Delhi airport at 5.30pm [local time]. After completing the boarding procedure of the passengers, the flight had pushed back and left the tarmac when the incident took place," the official said.
