Amidst the debate surrounding traditional Indian medicine as cure for Covid-19, researchers from Gujarat have been granted permission to conduct clinical trials for their poly-herbal formulation. The formulation, using herbal extracts from turmeric, lindi pepper, ashwagandha and satavari, has been developed by GU’s team of researchers and faculty members from Department of Life Sciences , Food Science and Nutrition and Junagadh-based naturopath Dr Akshay Sevak. Named Immurise, it has entered the clinical trial phase with the Clinical Trial Registry of India granting permission for the same.
