I signed up for T-Mobile’s $50 unlimited home internet service. Here’s what happened
I don't know what you're paying for home internet service, but I'll wager it's more than you'd like it to be -- and probably inching up all the time. For example, Comcast charges me $106 a month just for internet (I ditched TV about a year ago), a rate that seems to increase a few bucks every couple months. So when I learned that T-Mobile Home Internet was available in my area, promising unlimited high-speed service for a flat $50 monthly -- equipment, taxes and fees included -- I jumped at the chance to try it. (Note that availability is limited for the time being; the service is slowly rolling out to cities across the US and is technically in a pilot phase right now. That means things could change when there's an official rollout.) See it at T-Mobile Obviously, I had concerns. Would it be fast enough for everyday computing? Could it handle 4K streaming video? Would it work with my mesh network and support the many, many connected devices in my house? Perhaps … [Read more...] about I signed up for T-Mobile’s $50 unlimited home internet service. People made YRF a success for 50 years, says Aditya Chopra
Indian filmmaker Aditya Chopra looks back on 50 years of Yash Raj Films, the company his father founded, and pays tribute to the people who helped make it a success. In 1970, my father Yash Chopra, left the security and comfort of his brother, BR Chopra, and formed his own company. Till then, he was a salaried employee of BR Films and didn't own anything of his own. He did not know how to run a business and did not even have the basic knowledge of what goes into the making a company. All he had was a strong belief in his talent and hard work and a dream to be self-reliant. That conviction of a creative man backing nothing, but himself and his art, gave birth to Yash Raj Films. Mr V Shantaram, who owned Rajkamal Studios, graciously gave him a small room in his studio for his office.
