A Jaguar Land Rover worker who missed 808 days of work in 20 years has won his legal battle over unfair dismissal. Vic Rumbold, who lived close to the Castle Bromwich plant where he worked shifts, cost the car giant £95,850 in sick pay. He was absent for a number of reasons during his near 20 years at the company (JLR). He did not attend work because of health reasons, injuries at work and, on one occasion, an alleged assault. A Birmingham employment tribunal was told 405 of those shifts were missed in Mr Rumbold’s final four years with JLR, reports Birmingham Live. What do you think of the case? REDDIT aired a five-second WallStreetBets-inspired Super Bowl advertisement on Sunday evening about "how underdogs can accomplish anything." The ad's screen time comes after subreddit WallStreetBets said they wanted to create a Super Bowl advertisement to "sh*t on the Robinhood app." WallStreetBets – a Reddit group with several million members who share trading tips about how to beat "the system" – was hoping to put down stock trading app Robinhood. The group wanted to take out Robinhood after blocked GameStop trading, according to reports. About an hour into Super Bowl LV – featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Reddit took to Twitter to announce that the social media platform, not WallStreetBets, aired a commercial.
