ABU DHABI National Oil Company (ADNOC) and chemical producer OCI N.V. (OCI), which is backed by Egyptian businessman Nassef Sawiris, are weighing an initial public offering of their fertiliser joint venture Fertiglobe, two sources familiar with the matter said. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Fertiglobe was formed in 2019 after OCI and ADNOC combined their ammonia and urea assets, with the two companies currently holding ownership stakes of 58% and 42% respectively. ADNOC and OCI invited international and local banks to pitch for potential roles in Fertiglobe's public share-sale, said the sources, declining to be named because the matter is not public. The firms submitted bids last week for the deal, which could raise at least $1 billion, they said. ADNOC declined to comment when contacted by Reuters on Monday. OCI and Fertiglobe did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The business is expected to be next in line for a listing, after ADNOC completes the IPO of its … [Read more...] about Abu Dhabi’s ADNOC, Dutch-listed OCI weigh IPO of fertiliser joint venture

At long last Apple has added public-transport directions to its Maps app - or at least it has revealed that it will add this feature when iOS 9 launches in September. (At time of writing the new feature is only available by downloading the pre-release beta version of iOS 9 , which is what we use throughout this tutorial. Some graphical elements may have been tweaked by the time the official final version of iOS 9 comes out - it is due to launch on Wednesday 16 September - but we'd be very surprised if the way the feature works changes substantially.) Home Four wheelers oi-Stephen Gershom By Stephen Gershom Published: Monday, April 12, 2021, 18:34 [IST] Tata Motors is working on setting up four scrapyards in India. Tata's first four scrapyards are being set up in association with its dealers in Greater Mumbai, Hyderabad, Howrah, and Karnal. The scrapyards will first deal with commercial vehicles only and at a later stage might start dealing with passenger vehicles too. The vehicle scrapyard industry in India has for decades now been functioning as one of the unorganised sectors. Hundreds of small private scrapyards are scattered across the country and their business has so far been unregulated. The central government however has brought in a few regulations that change the way scrapyards have been functioning. These new regulations also allow corporate giants and manufacturers to step into the scrapping industry. These regulations also mandate the scrapping of … [Read more...] about Tata Motors To Set Up Vehicle Scrapyards In India: Four Scrapyards Planned Initially
Goldman Sachs is placing a big bet on the growth of Soho House, one of the world's biggest private members' club networks, with a $770m (£560m) loan as it prepares to go public in New York. Sky News has learnt that Soho House has struck a deal to replace existing debt facilities with Permira Debt Managers (PDM), part of which had been syndicated to the wealthy Reuben family. Sources said the new financing from Goldman's merchant banking arm would repay an existing PDM loan of £406m and provide further growth capital for the London-based hospitality group. The new facility would be over the "long term". Goldman is not currently involved in Soho House's forthcoming initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange, but could be added to a syndicate led by JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley, they suggested. Advertisement News of Goldman's financing comes days after Sky News revealed that Soho House had confidentially submitted an S-1 filing for its … [Read more...] about Goldman places bet on Soho House with £560m loan
When Apple unveiled the News app in the WWDC keynote on Monday, my first reaction was glee. As a past participant in its Newsstand experiment , which is probably the best way to describe it, the News app had several characteristics that made it seem far superior for many purposes. By the evening, though, gloom had set in. The News app looks more like yet another push news service--the latest incarnation of PointCast for those with long memories--that delivers what the product's producer thinks is valuable to you rather than what you necessarily want. It's sophisticated, but takes choice out of readers' hands. If a user can't choose any news source, whether a blog updated yearly and read by 10 people or a multinational media conglomerate's river of articles, I believe it's doomed to fall by the wayside. When presented with curation and choice, only a subset of people, the least avid, choose a walled garden unless the benefit is truly remarkable. Apple's choices will shape … [Read more...] about Apple’s News app in iOS 9: All the news that fits, they print?
