Judges have denied a bid by Alfie Evans' parents to overturn a previous ruling to switch off life support for their brain damaged baby. The Court of Appeal move by the child's parents followed a previous High Court decision that doctors could stop providing life-support treatment to their baby. But Alfie's parents Tom Evans, 21, and Kate James, 20, have today lost the latest stage of a fight to continue his life-support. Legal representatives for the family confirmed the mum and dad would not be in court today but would instead be listening via an audiolink by Alfie's hospital bedside. This comes after they announced they wanted to spend as much time with their son as possible.
