Nabi says PM Imran Khan promised a Pakistan-Afghanistan cricket series

Afghanistan cricket player Mohammad Nabi said Prime Minister Imran Khan had given the green light for a cricket series to be played between Pakistan and Afghanistan. This was revealed by veteran journalist Saj Sadiq, who said that Nabi described his meeting with the Pakistani prime minister as an 'exciting' one. "Meeting Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was exciting. We had lunch & had a photoshoot with him," he was quoted as saying. "We asked him to give Afghanistan a series with Pakistan and he has promised that. We enjoyed that meeting and discussed some cricket things with him," added the cricketer. Sadiq did not elaborate who also met the prime minister with the Afghanistan cricket team member and when did the meeting take place. Nabi, who plays for the Karachi Kings, is a veteran team member of the Afghanistan cricket team. Big blow to Imran Khan govt! Pakistan remains on FATF’s grey list, gets June deadline to complete action plan

In a major blow to the Imran Khan government, Pakistan on Thursday failed to exit the Financial Action Task Force`s (FATF) grey list. The FATF has strongly urged Pakistan to swiftly complete its full action plan before June 2021. In a statement, the FATF said, "Since June 2018, when Pakistan made a high-level political commitment to work with the FATF and APG to strengthen its AML/CFT regime and to address its strategic counter-terrorist financing-related deficiencies, Pakistan’s continued political commitment has led to significant progress across a comprehensive CFT action plan, including by: demonstrating that law enforcement agencies are identifying and investigating the widest range of TF activity, demonstrating enforcement against TFS violations, and working to prevent the raising and moving of funds including by controlling facilities and services owned or controlled by designated persons and entities." PM Imran Khan calls for ‘concrete actions’ to stop illicit financial flows from developing countries

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday stressed on the need for "concrete actions" so "illicit financial flows" from developing countries can be stopped. He also called for the development of international anti-money laundering legal instruments. Addressing the virtually held launching ceremony of the Final Report of the High-Level Panel on International Financial Accountability, Transparency and Integrity for Achieving the 2030 Development Agenda as a keynote speaker, the prime minister said that when his government came into power the country's coffers were empty due to "illicit financial outflows from our country". He said the FACTI Panel's interim report had confirmed that trillions of dollars flow out of developing countries each year. Fawad Chaudhry says PM Imran Khan ‘changed country’s fate within 2 years’

ISLAMABAD:   The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has "changed the fate of Pakistan within two years," adding that the Opposition calling PM Imran Khan "incompetent" and a "puppet of the army" are "frivolous arguments". "It is common for all Opposition [parties] to take such [irrational] stances," he said, according to an article by Geo.tv . Appreciating the timely measures that the Pakistan government too to control the spread of coronavirus, Chaudhry said that Pakistan achieved what other nations could not have imagined doing.
