He donated Rs 31 lakh to PM CARES fund and Rs 21 lakh to Uttar Pradesh CM’s Disaster Relief Fund. He also urged the nation of 1.3 billion to observe a strict lockdown to avoid the spreading of COVID-19. India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane also donated Rs 10 lakh to the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was among the first ones to donated Rs 50 lakh. Tennis star Sania Mirza has helped in raising Rs 1.25 crore to help the people.
