Monday is debut day for new vehicles at the 2019 North American International Auto Show. From muscle cars to hybrids to heavy-hauling pickups and luxury vehicles, the center of attention for car companies and car buyers around the world is Cobo Center on Detroit’s riverfront. Some of what’s on tap: The 2019 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the year will be named Monday morning, a great start to the week for three brands. The Shelby GT 500, the most powerful production Mustang ever, will debut. Ford will also provide more information about sporty ST and fuel-efficient hybrid models of the 2020 Explorer. The elegant Lexus LC convertible concept will audition to be the flagship for Toyota’s luxury brand. Infiniti will foreshadow future technology and designs with its QX Inspiration electric concept SUV.
