Cassidy, president and CEO of the Eastern States Exposition. As of Thursday night the Big E had totaled 1,148,836 visitors. On the same day last year there had only been a total of 957,742 visitors. Last year the fair reached a new attendance milestone with a total of 1,525,553 visitors. “We have some great weather coming up all weekend, so we are expecting large crowds,” Cassidy said.
