And they all came together Tuesday afternoon at the sparkling new InfoCision Stadium to talk details on LeBron Appreciation Day, an event set for June 19 at the University of Akron’s stadium as the biggest and most public way LeBron James’ hometown can show and tell the two-time NBA MVP it, well, appreciates what he’s done so far. And that it sure would like to be part of what’s immediately ahead. James’ impending free agency isn’t just a big deal for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the other NBA clubs expected to pursue him when they become eligible to do so on July 1. It’s a big deal on many levels for businesses of many types in Akron and Cleveland, as well as for each city’s pride.
